African Roots Guesthouse was originally a private residence to a University tourism professor built in early 2000’s. Agnes Larubi, Anna Nagawa & Jeffrey McKnight (co owners) discovered this property in 2012 where together they birthed The African Roots dream!
African Roots Guesthouse Gulu is our newest addition to the African Roots brand, opening her doors to the public in June 2018.

AR Safaris offers unique unforgettable adventures from – cultural community, musical and wild game safaris packaged together to maximize your safari experience. The Luo cultural home soon opening her doors to the public, will be tacked at the edge of Murchison Falls National Park (Northern side of the River Bank). This will give you the opportunity to relive the past with hands on ground roots practices & customs while appreciating – diversity, history, food, dance and gender roles of The Luo people.
