Undoubtedly, Uganda has the most diverse tour destinations in Africa, in contrast with Kenya and Tanzania, she has a rich cultural destination with over 56 tribes.

 

She was named ‘The Pearl of Africa’ by the then British Prime Minister Winston Churchill for its beauty and scenic geography.

 

This fertile country offer both the savannah grass plains of Murchison Falls/Kidepo & Queen Elizabeth National Park for great wildlife viewing as well as the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi for Gorilla trekking and the snow capped mountains of The Rwenzoris.

12 Day Safari – Murchison/Kibale/Queen Elizabeth/Bwindi & Lake Mburo National Parks

Day 1: Arrival & airport pickup. Overnight (O/N), African Roots Entebbe – Full Board (FB)

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, en route stop for Rhino trekking – 5hr drive. O/N Murchison Falls – FB

Day 3: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise. O/N Murchison Falls – FB

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale – (9/10hr drive). O/N Kibale area – FB

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking. Optional activities include; forest walk, bigodi swamp walk, hike on slopes of Mt. Ruwenzori or Crater Lake hikes. O/N Kibale area – FB

Day 6: Transfer to Queen – 3 hrs drive, evening game drive. O/N Queen Elizabeth- FB

Payment Policy

  • Full payment if booking made from 3 months to the functional date.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations must be received in writing. As all suppliers charge cancellation fees, they are in turn passed on to us.
  • Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in number of occupancy are subject to cancellation and no-show fees.
  • Cancellations made from one month to functional date 50% is refundable excluding suppliers already paid.
  • Cancellations made 2 weeks to functional date, 25% is refundable excluding suppliers already paid.
  • Cancellations made less than 2 weeks to functional date 100% non-refundable fees applies

Health

  • Yellow fever & malaria prophylactics.
  • For gorilla/chimp trekking it is imperative that you are healthy and free of any disease or virus – officials do have the right to refuse entry if you are sick.
  • Should you opt to spend a night on Ngamba Island, and partake in the forest walk or caregiver programmer, please request the full document for this activity, and it MUST BE BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE.

 

Visas

  • Most nationalities require a visa to enter Uganda & Rwanda which you can obtain on arrival for USD50-60 depending on passport, per person, single entry. Passports must be valid for a min of 6 months.

We offer trips on both road and fly options (minimum of x2 Nights / 3 days)

Activities offered include; white water rafting, yaking, bungee jumping, horse ride.

Above packages (12, 10 & 8 Day) are the most popular safaris. Cost for the safari is per person sharing in a room, Single Room supplement (SRS) applies for persons staying in single rooms. We also tailor safaris from scratch to meet specific needs of each client.

Major costs that make up our Safaris
  1. Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits
  • Depends on availability at Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), these are advisable to be purchased way in advance if a client has expressed interest in trekking. They are sold on first come first serve basis and permits once bought are not refundable by UWA.Gorilla permit cost – $US600.00 per person per trek, Chimpanzee permit – 150.00 per person 
    1. Vehicle hire

    Safari 4×4 Land cruisers – 7 Seater with driver/guide ($US200 – $250 per day)

    Safari Van 4×4 – 7 Seater with driver/guide ($US120 – $150 per day)

    Costa 20 Seater with a driver and a guide on board – ($US300.00 – 350.00 per day)

     

    1. Accommodation

    We prefer to book clients in mostly mid range accommodations as they meet the basic requirements. Mid range accommodation options range from $US150.00 – $US200.00 per person per night on Full Board basis (Breakfast, Lunch & dinner inclusive). However for those interested to upgrade to high end category we are flexible to meet their needs.

     

    1. Park entry fees

    All National Parks charge client and vehicle entry fees.

    Park entry fee per person for 24 hours $US40.00

     

    1. FUEL/GAS

    This depends on the mileage for each independent safari. Shorter safaris will have a lot less gas than the longer safaris.

    Most activities that will be offered by the ground operator is highlighted in the brief itinerary and the optional activities can be fixed on ground and paid extra depending on what the client would like to do.
